Dark Tribal Astrobelly Combinations:

In this workshop, we will explore the stylisation of some of the Astrobelly combinations; “Traditional” or Tribal - it’s all so different - or is it? Having just completed my Level 1 Jamila Salimpour certification, I would like to share with you some of the stylistic differences and some of the background thinking.

In this workshop, we will explore some of the combinations you saw presented in the Tribe of the Honeybadger performance - then, we’ll turn it all inside out and twist it around; mwuhahahaha! We’ll have a look at creating a more somber and darker mood with those same combination. You will see they are easy to use in choreography or for improvisation.
